About Filmkonst

Filmkonst is Sweden's most innovative film publication. A pocket book, a DVD, a comic book, a book of poetry or a game - Filmkonst is all of this and more. Filmkonst has been published by Göteborg International Film Festival since 1989 and more than 100 issues have been released. The content is characterized by an inquisitive and enthusiastic love of film.

Filmkonst has recieved a number of awards through the years, such as The Journalistic Award and the design award Excellent Swedish Design. Filmkonst Magasin has also been nominated for the Göteborg award of entertainment magazine Nöjesguiden.

Each year Filmkonst invites a writer to Göteborg International Film Festival. Their mission: to experience and get inspired. Then the work begins - to make a book, which will be presented at Filmkonst's and Göteborg International Film Festival's stand at Göteborg Book Fair. The writer who is passed the torch enjoys absolute creative freedom and the contributions through the years have been as diverse, in both form and matter, as their creators.
